WELCOME
Welcome to the home page for the Minnesota Book Publishers' Roundtable (MBPR). If you are interested in learning more about book publishers located in the state of Minnesota, you'll find this an excellent resource. We encourage you to continue your research by visiting the linked sites of many of our member publishers, or to contact those without web sites via one of the other methods listed.
MEMBERSHIP
From a humble beginning of a few colleagues gathered around a restaurant table, MBPR has developed into an active group that represents a cross section of the diverse publishing activity in Minnesota. Membership is open to book publishing companies located in Minnesota, plus individuals from related industries.
ORGANIZATIONAL GOALS
MBPR's goals are:
- To establish a means by which those engaged in book publishing may assist one another through the exchange of ideas and experience
- To promote the spirit of good fellowship and friendly cooperation among its members
- To promote the highest standards of craftsmanship and integrity in book publishing, and
- To promote further understanding between all the related professions and trades concerned with the publishing industry.
ACTIVITIES
MBPR hosts five informational lunches throughout the year, inviting speakers to address issues of importance to the membership. To receive information about upcoming events, sign-up for our e-Newsletter. We also coordinate bimonthly social hours, hold an annual meeting, offer a BEA scholarship, and produce an annually-updated directory.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Members of the Board of Directors have two-year terms which begin in August of each year and may be renewed. The Board meets throughout the year to plan luncheon topics and work on other programs to benefit members.
