Join InDesign publishing expert Anne-Marie "Her Geekness" Concepción for a lively and informative "real world tour" of the e-book publishing landscape. You'll receive an overview of the entire publishing workflow, taking a layout file in Adobe InDesign and turning it into an e-book ready for sale in Apple's iBookstore, Amazon Kindle store, on other e-resellers. Anne-Marie "Her Geekness" Concepción is a digital publishing expert. She owns Chicago-based Seneca Design & Training (senecadesign.com), a cross-media publication and production design studio that develops print, PDF, and digital publications for their clients. She is a certified Adobe instructor specializing in InDesign-centered publishing workflows, including InCopy integration and publishing to EPUB, Kindle, DPS, and iBooks Author. Anne-Marie is also co-founder of InDesignSecrets.com, "The world's #1 resource for all things InDesign," and co-produces the annual Print + ePublishing Conference, PEPCON (pepconference.com). She is one of lynda.com's most popular authors of video tutorials, with titles that cover InDesign, EPUB, InCopy, Bridge, and more. Parking Information
There is a small side lot next to the Open Book building (just past the building on the right as you are heading east on Washington; for those heading west, turn on 10th or 11th and go down the alley to access the lot). If the Open Book lot is full, other options are:
• Meters along 10th and 11th; most cost $1.00/hour.
• Guthrie ramp is a block away. Enter on 9th Avenue (between Washington and 2nd Street South). 
• Municipal parking ramp across from the Mill City Museum (this is a longer walk because it is a block farther away and the entrance is on 2nd Street South). 
• Bike racks are available near both entries to the Open Book building.

Event Day Information
Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Fees, which include lunch, are $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Reservations required. If space allows walk-ins, those without reservations will be charged $30 at the door. If you reserve a place, a lunch will be ordered for you and you'll be expected to pay for it whether or not you attend.
