JOIN MINNESOTA BOOK PUBLISHERS' ROUNDTABLE

Dear Colleague,

The Minnesota Book Publishers’ Roundtable began more than twenty-five years ago as a small group of publishing professionals meeting around a restaurant table and has blossomed into a diverse group representing a cross-section of publishing activity in Minnesota.

Our bimonthly meetings provide a casual lunch and networking time along with the opportunity to hear key speakers address issues timely and informative for publishing professionals. In addition, the Roundtable sponsors bimonthly happy hours to promote networking and camaraderie in the publishing community. Membership in the Roundtable is open to Minnesota book publishers and those from related industries.

The purpose of the Minnesota Book Publishers’ Roundtable is:

  1. to develop, encourage, and promote the book publishing industry in Minnesota and the region;
  2. to provide book publishers and those in related professions and trades an opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences; and
  3. to promote good fellowship and friendly cooperation among its members.

Membership applications are due in September of each year, and all members are listed in our annual directory, which is uploaded to our website at year-end. Membership dues are $50 per organization or $35 per individual. (Note: The individual rate is intended for freelancers and one-person companies; any organization with two or more employees is expected to pay the organization rate.) If you have questions about membership, please contact Mike Stoffel at 612.627.1982 or e-mail him at stoff004@umn.edu (please give MBPR in subject line).

Memberships run from September-August. Membership materials are mailed in late summer/early fall, and all new memberships and renewals are due in November. We do not accept new membership outside the August-November renewal period. Instead, add your name to our e-Newsletter, so that you will receive materials during our next membership campaign.

Our meetings are held at Open Book in Minneapolis, 1011 Washington Ave. S. Fees for luncheons reserved in advance are $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers. An additional $5 is charged at the door for attendance without a reservation.

We look forward to having lunch with you.
